The Boomzagertje, also known as Houtzagertje or Het zagertje, is a small but charming iron sculpture located in the Leidsebosje park in Amsterdam-West. Created by an anonymous artist in 1989, it depicts a little man sawing a thick branch while hanging upside down. The artwork has a whimsical character and is part of a collection of similar anonymous sculptures in the city. After restoration in 2020, it was relocated to a new branch. Visitors can enjoy this unique piece of public art while exploring the peaceful surroundings of the park. The park is open year-round, and access is free, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or picnicking.
