The Tower of the Winds, known as 'Aéride' in Greek, is an ancient octagonal marble monument located near the Acropolis in Athens. Built in the 1st century BC by the Greek astronomer Andronicus of Cyrrhus, it served as the world's first meteorological station and sundial. The structure features reliefs of the eight principal winds and a bronze weather vane. Visitors can explore its architectural significance and rich history, including its use as a Byzantine bell tower and later as a Muslim monastery. It is open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM, with an admission fee of 6 Euros. The site is accessible for all visitors.
