Gebroken Cirkel is a monumental concrete sculpture by artist Ad Dekkers, completed in 1976 and located in Amsterdam. This striking piece, measuring 12 meters in diameter, represents Dekkers' exploration of geometric shapes and forms. Initially positioned at Mauritskade, it was relocated to Transformatorweg in 2003 due to construction work. The sculpture, which weighs 165 tons, is often referred to as "The Ring" and "The Hole of Duisenberg," reflecting its cultural and historical context. Visitors can appreciate its abstract beauty at any time, as it is situated in a public space. There are no admission fees, making it an accessible attraction for art enthusiasts and tourists alike.
