Forte de São Lourenço do Bugio, also known as Torre do Bugio, is a historic coastal fortification located at the mouth of the Tagus River in Portugal. Built in 1590 under the reign of King Philip II of Spain, it served to protect the maritime access to Lisbon. The fort features a circular design, characteristic of Renaissance military architecture, and includes the Bugio Lighthouse. While currently not open for public visits, tourists can appreciate its historical significance and scenic views from nearby coastal areas. Accessible by boat, it holds cultural importance as an example of Portugal's military heritage.
