Via Mazzini is Verona's most popular shopping street, named after the influential 19th-century politician Giuseppe Mazzini, who played a key role in the unification of Italy. This pedestrian-only street connects Piazza Bra, home to the Verona Arena, to Piazza delle Erbe. Originally, it followed an ancient Roman road and features charming architecture along its length. The marble-paved street is lined with boutique shops and international brands. Notably, the flagship store of United Colors of Benetton has Roman ruins beneath it, showcasing tiles and walls from the first and second centuries AD. Via Mazzini is a cultural hub where visitors can enjoy shopping and people-watching in a vibrant atmosphere.
