Santa Maria della Salute is a remarkable Baroque church located in the Dorsoduro district of Venice, at the entrance of the Grand Canal. This votive church was constructed in response to the plague that devastated the city in 1630, with the Doge of Venice promising its construction to the Madonna. The church features a unique octagonal design by architect Baldassare Longhena, with striking domes and a grand façade. Inside, visitors can admire exquisite altars and artwork by renowned artists such as Titian and Tintoretto. Open daily from 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 5:30 PM, entry is free, but donations are appreciated. Accessibility is available for visitors with mobility issues.
