Puerta Monaita, also known as Bab al-Unaydar or the Door of the Erilla, is a historic gateway located in the Albaicín district of Granada, Spain. Dating back to the 11th century, this impressive structure served as one of the main entrances to the ancient Alcazaba Qadīma. The door showcases exquisite Zirí architecture, featuring striking horseshoe arches and a defensive zigzag approach. It has been recognized as a National Historic-Artistic Monument since 1931. Visitors can explore the site, which offers a glimpse into the rich Islamic heritage of Granada. Although there are no specific visiting hours or admission fees, the site is somewhat neglected and may be subject to vandalism, so caution is advised. Accessibility is limited due to the surrounding steep terrain.
