Victory Square, located between the Big Marina (Marina Grande) and the Small Marina (Marina Piccola) in Sorrento, features a picturesque garden shaded by palm trees. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the bay and the Gulf of Naples. The Imperial Hotel Tromontano, overlooking the harbor, is historically significant as the place where Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen resided for six months in 1881, writing his renowned play 'Ghosts'. A plaque commemorating Ibsen's stay can be found at the corner of Victory Square and Vittoria Veneto Street. Additionally, the square is notable for being near the birthplace of the celebrated poet Torquato Tasso, born on March 11, 1544, in a portion of the hotel known as Villa Laurito Mastrogiudice.
