Kasteel van de Hertogen van Brabant, located in the center of Turnhout, Belgium, dates back to the 12th century and has undergone numerous renovations. Once a "court of pleasure" during the time of Maria van Hongarije, the castle fell into decline in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was purchased by the province of Antwerp in the early 20th century and restored after World War I.
