Manequinho is a beloved statue located in front of the Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Created by artist Belmiro de Almeida in 1908, this 1-meter tall sculpture represents a boy urinating, inspired by the famous Manneken Pis in Brussels. The statue was declared a cultural heritage by the city in 2002 and has become a mascot for the Botafogo football team since the 1957 Campeonato Carioca. Although the original was stolen in 1990 and replaced in 1993, it continues to be a symbol of local pride. Visitors can enjoy the unique charm of this piece daily, with no admission fees required. The area is accessible by public transport, making it easy to visit and appreciate its historical significance.
