Manequinho is a beloved statue located in front of the Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Created by artist Belmiro de Almeida in 1908, this 1-meter tall sculpture represents a boy urinating, inspired by the famous Manneken Pis in Brussels. The statue was declared a cultural heritage by the city in 2002 and has become a mascot for the Botafogo football team since the 1957 Campeonato Carioca. Although the original was stolen in 1990 and replaced in 1993, it continues to be a symbol of local pride. Visitors can enjoy the unique charm of this piece daily, with no admission fees required.
