The Church of Saint Augustine is a Roman Catholic place of worship located in Siena. Construction began in 1258 by the Augustinians and continued for many years, with significant expansions in the 15th century. The interior of the church underwent complete renovation after a fire in 1747, led by Luigi Vanvitelli, giving it a neoclassical appearance. Notably, the church houses artistic treasures, including a famous fresco of the Madonna by Ambrogio Lorenzetti and altarpieces by renowned artists such as the Perugino and Astolfo Petrazzi. The structure also features a simple façade, transformed by an 18th-century colonnade. The church is now under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Siena and serves as a testament to the rich ecclesiastical heritage of the city.
