Palazzo Beccanugi is located at Piazza Antinori 1 in Florence, Italy. This historic building is associated with the Beccanugi family, a prominent Guelph family that once owned houses near the Church of San Michele in Betelde. Following the Ghibelline victory in the Battle of Montaperti in 1260, the family's properties were looted.
During the 15th century, the houses were restored and underwent significant modifications that continued into the 18th century. By that time, the sprawling structure was partially used as rental properties and partially as a noble residence. In the 20th century, part of the property was converted into a hotel, which still operates today.
Visitors can admire the exquisite interiors, particularly in the noble and ground floors, where some rooms are adorned with beautiful stuccos and frescoes featuring mythological themes. The Palazzo Beccanugi offers a glimpse into the rich history and art of Florence, making it a noteworthy stop for those exploring the city's architectural heritage.
