The Church of San Martino is a significant Catholic place of worship located in Siena. First documented as early as the 8th century, it became the most important church in the area during the early medieval period, giving its name to the Terzo di San Martino. The church underwent renovations and expansions in 1537, with designs from Giovan Battista Pelori, while its façade was completed in 1613 and the bell tower in 1738. The church boasts a Roman Mannerist façade designed by Giovanni Fontana, and its Renaissance interior features a Latin cross layout with a single nave and a beautiful dome adorned with frescoes by Annibale Mazzuoli. Notable artworks within include pieces by Raffaello Vanni, Domenico Beccafumi, and Guido Reni.
