Ponte Fabricio - Free Audio Guide

Ponte Fabricio, also known as the Bridge of the Four Heads, is the oldest surviving bridge in Rome, built in 62 BC by Lucio Fabricio. This well-preserved arch bridge connects Tiber Island to the left bank of the Tiber River. Notable for its four inscriptions, it was restored in 23 BC and again during the 17th century. The bridge is rich in history and is closely associated with the Jewish community, as it is near the former Jewish Ghetto.
