Goddards House and Garden is a notable Arts and Crafts house located in York, built in 1927 for Noel and Kathleen Terry of the renowned chocolate-making family, Terry's. Designed by architect Walter Brierley, the house features a striking vaulted ceiling and retains many original fixtures, showcasing the craftsmanship of the era. The gardens, designed by George Dillistone, span four acres and include distinct areas such as a terrace and a lily pool, reflecting the Arts and Crafts style. As a Grade I listed building, it holds significant historical value. The National Trust, which acquired the property in 1984, now offers seasonal access to the garden while the house itself opened to the public in 2012.
