The High Synagogue (Synagoga Wysoka) in Kraków, located at ul. Józefa 38 in the historic Kazimierz district, is a remarkable example of Renaissance architecture. Built between 1556 and 1563, it is the highest synagogue in Kraków and the only one in Poland situated on an upper floor. Historically significant, it suffered damage during World War II but was restored and now serves as an exhibition space celebrating Jewish history and culture. Visitors can explore its rich decorative elements, including restored 17th-century polychromes. The synagogue is open to the public for exhibitions, with varying visiting hours. Admission fees may apply, and accessibility options are available for those with mobility issues.
