The Explanada de España, also known as the Esplanade, is a famous promenade in Alicante, Spain. Stretching alongside the port, it features a unique wavy pavement made of approximately 7.5 million marble tiles. The design, inspired by the waves of the Mediterranean, showcases colors of red, cream, and black. Historically significant, it was renamed in 1868 to honor those executed during a political insurrection. Key attractions include the Auditorio de la Concha, artisan stalls, and numerous cafes.
