The Provinciaal Hof is a neo-Gothic building located in the heart of Brugge on the Grote Markt. Originally constructed in 1892, it served as the former seat of the West Flanders provincial government. The building is rich in history, having replaced the Waterhalle, which stood from 1294 until its demolition in 1787. Today, it hosts events and exhibitions and is a protected monument since 2002. Key attractions include the Provincial Council Chamber, adorned with statues and paintings of notable West Flemish figures. Visitors can enjoy guided tours and the restoration work completed in 2023 enhances its accessibility. Admission is free, and it is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.
