Karlstor, originally known as Neuhauser Tor, is a historic city gate in Munich built around 1300. It features two preserved flank towers and was redesigned in the Neo-Gothic style between 1861 and 1862. The gate is part of the historical city fortifications and connects the Altstadt with the Ludwigsvorstadt. Visitors can explore its architectural beauty and cultural significance, including monuments dedicated to local historical figures. The site is located near the bustling Karlsplatz (Stachus), making it easily accessible. There are no admission fees, and it is open year-round.
