Mariebergsstenen is a memorial sculpture located in Mariebergsparken on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. Designed by architect Ragnar Hjorth and erected in 1953, the stone commemorates the historical significance of the Marieberg area, which housed the Marieberg porcelain factory and various military installations. The sculpture features eight sections of light marble, adorned with iron motifs symbolizing fire. Notable inscriptions detail the many functions of the area from 1758 to 1958. The stone was relocated in 1976 due to the construction of the Soviet embassy. Visitors can appreciate its artistic design and historical context while enjoying the serene park environment. The site is accessible to all, with no admission fees.
