The Chiesa di San Vincenzo in Modena is a stunning Baroque church located at Corso Canalgrande 75. Built under Cardinal Alessandro d'Este for the Theatine order, it replaced a 13th-century church. The architect Bartolomeo Avanzini designed it, and the church features a long nave with numerous chapels. A significant event in its history occurred during World War II when a bomb destroyed parts of the church, including the presbytery and the dome's frescoes. Noteworthy attractions include a major altar sculpted by Tommaso Loraghi and the recovered painting of the Madonna with Saint John and Saint Gregory, which was stolen in 2014 and returned in 2017.
