The Heilige Familiekerk, located in the Langestraatkwartier of Brugge, has a rich history dating back to 1710 when the Ondermarck almshouses were situated on this site. A neo-Gothic chapel dedicated to Saint Joseph was built here in 1903 and later became the Heilige Familie parish church in 1962. The church features distinct pointed arch windows and a simple design, making it a unique architectural site. In 2015, it was deconsecrated and repurposed for non-religious use. Currently, it is privately owned and has hosted events like a Christmas market. Visitors can explore this site to appreciate its historical significance. There are no admission fees, but it is advisable to check for any public events or openings.
