Ca' Rezzonico is an eighteenth‑century palazzo on the Grand Canal in Venice’s Dorsoduro district, adapted as the Museo del Settecento Veneziano. Initially designed by Baldassare Longhena and completed by Giorgio Massari, the palace became the residence of the Rezzonico family, notable patrons who produced Pope Clement XIII. The museum offers a comprehensive presentation of eighteenth‑century Venetian art, society and décor through frescoed salons, a grand staircase, period rooms, original furniture and paintings and genre scenes by leading Venetian masters. Its cultural significance lies in revealing late‑Baroque and Rococo urban life, music, theatre and civic ritual in Venice. The site maintains regular public opening hours and charges admission subject to seasonal and institutional variation; concessions are commonly offered. As a historic palazzo, accessibility is partial: some rooms and levels remain constrained by the original architecture despite measures to accommodate visitors.
