The Igreja e Mosteiro de São Bento, located in Rio de Janeiro, is a historic Benedictine monastery established in 1633. Renowned for its stunning baroque architecture, the site showcases intricate interior decor, including gilded altars and beautiful artwork. The monastery is also home to the famous São Bento College, founded in 1858, which has educated notable Brazilian figures.
