The Great Meteoron Monastery, known as Μονή Μεγάλου Μετεώρου, is the largest and oldest of the six active monasteries in Meteora, Greece. Founded in the 14th century by Saint Athanasius, it is situated at an elevation of 534 meters, offering breathtaking views. The monastery became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988, recognized for its historical and architectural significance.
