The Pandroseion is an ancient sanctuary dedicated to Pandrosos, a daughter of Cecrops, the mythical founder of Athens. Located on the Acropolis, it is situated west of the Erechtheion and north of the old Temple of Athena Polias. Renowned for its sacred olive tree, planted by Athena during her contest with Poseidon, the site features a trapezoidal courtyard and an altar to Erkeios Zeus. Visitors can explore the rich history and architectural significance of this Ionia-style sanctuary. While there are no specific admission fees for the Acropolis, standard entry tickets apply, with discounts available for students and seniors. The site is accessible to all visitors, enhancing the experience of this culturally significant location.
