I amsterdam Sloterplas is a notable installation located in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, placed along the southern shore of Sloterplas in 2016. This variant of the famous "I amsterdam" letters, designed by KesselsKramer, is approximately 2.5 meters high and 23.5 meters long. Originally part of a marketing campaign launched in 2005, the letters became a popular photo spot for tourists. While many installations have been removed, the Sloterplas variant remains, attracting fewer visitors compared to city center locations, making it ideal for relaxation and fitness activities. The area features a freerunning parcours and serves as a climbing and play area for children. The site is easily accessible by public transport and offers a unique blend of art, nature, and recreational space.
