The Workers Arts and Heritage Centre (WAHC) in Hamilton is a community museum dedicated to preserving the history and contributions of working people in Canada and beyond. Established over 25 years ago, it showcases the experiences of both paid and unpaid workers through a variety of art, exhibitions, and performances. Housed in the historic Custom House building, which underwent extensive restoration, WAHC features permanent exhibitions exploring office culture, factory work, Hamilton’s industrial history, and more. Admission is free, and visitors can engage in various events, workshops, and educational programs focused on labour history and social justice.
