Cristo de La Habana is an iconic statue representing the Sacred Heart of Jesus, located in Regla, Havana. Sculpted by Cuban artist Jilma Madera, it stands 20 meters tall on a 3-meter base and was inaugurated on December 24, 1958. The statue is made of Carrara marble and consists of 67 pieces brought from Italy. It offers a panoramic view of Havana from 51 meters above sea level. The statue was blessed on Christmas Day 1958 and has significant cultural and historical relevance, especially following the Cuban Revolution. Visitors can enjoy its artistic grandeur and the surrounding landscape, but access may be limited due to military zones. It is recommended to check local regulations before visiting.
