The Fuente de Neptuno, located in Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo in Madrid, is a neoclassical fountain completed in 1786. Designed by Ventura Rodríguez, it depicts the Roman god Neptune atop a chariot pulled by sea horses, surrounded by dolphins and seals. Originally situated on the Calle de San Jerónimo, it was moved to its current location in 1898. The fountain is part of a series of monumental sculptures commissioned during the reign of Charles III, highlighting the city's modernization efforts. Visitors can enjoy the stunning architecture and vibrant atmosphere of the plaza. Accessible to all, it is a popular gathering spot for sports fans celebrating victories. There are no admission fees.
